Support arts organizations and encourage employees to participate in cultural activities

Inspired by the recent societal focus on arts and culture and women’s empowerment, WNC initiated a sponsorship collaboration in 2023 with the Tabernacle Women’s Choir, an all-female choir. In 2024 WNC continued its support for the choir, donating NT$200,000 for the choir to organize an ESG concert featuring the choir with organ concert entitled Infinity of Crystal WaterA total of 1,951 people attended the concert in Taipei and Kaohsiung, including 16 employees.

In addition, WNC also teamed up with the Tabernacle Women’s Choir to go to Tunan Elementary School in 2024 to organize a music workshop. Choir members used self-compiled teaching materials and music scores to teach the 51 children in the school music score recognition as well as rhythm, chorus and recorder lessons. After the workshop, there was a presentation session so the children could stand on stage to share what they have learned and boost their confidence.

In 2025, in addition to continuing to work with the Tabernacle Women’s Choir to organize additional music workshops, WNC plans to take students from Tunan Elementary School on venue tours and give them the opportunity to experience performing arts events.

WNC’s Social Care Assistance Platform provides a convenient channel for employees to obtain social care information, to make donations, and to offer assistance on-line

Charity Fundraising

WNC is proactive in conducting charity fundraising and has organized internal donation campaigns in response to major disasters or the special needs of colleagues and the community. Care, financial assistance, legal consultation, and/or funeral assistance are also provided for injured/seriously ill employees or for family members of employees who pass away.

WNC also encourages employees to help those in need and to donate to charity. For example, instead of choosing to receive company gift certificates or gifts to mark Chinese New Year, Dragon Boat Festival, and Mid-Autumn Festival, employees may choose to donate an amount equal to the value of the company gift certificates or gifts to charity. The money donated is given to NTHU and NCKU university service clubs, the Smrangi Sanfu Club of National Yangming Chiaotung University, Tunan Elementary School, and Siang Bi Elementary School. In 2024, WNC and employee donations totaled NT$1.48 million, of which NT$929,600 was raised by employees.

Charity Sales Events

The fifth day of each month is designated WNC Charity Day, and employees are encouraged to show their support by purchasing items from charity organizations. Each month, WNC’s Employee Relations Department invites a charitable organization to set up a stand and sell products at Taiwan sites. In 2024, WNC’s Taipei office joined the cause. In the same year 32 charity organizations (including social welfare organizations, social development organizations, and social enterprises) were invited to hold online sales for WNC employees. Revenue from the online sales totaled NT$602,000, a 33% increase compared to 2023.

Working with customers to create diversity and inclusion

Starting in 2020 WNC has been invited by its US network communications customers to participate in the Adaptive Spirit event, supporting US Paralympics athletesThe event aims to provide disabled athletes with opportunities to participate in winter sports and to provide training and competition resources through corporate sponsorship.

In 2023, we donated US$20,000 to become a silver sponsor of the 2024 Adaptive Spirit event and support US Paralympic snowboarder Dennae Russell. By promoting disability inclusion in sports, we hope to encourage more people with disabilities to challenge themselves and participate in sporting competitions.
