WNC, together with the Water Resources Agency and NTU’s Experimental Forest team, have joined hands to plant 2,480 native Taiwanese saplings near the Xiluo Bridge on the left bank of the Zhuoshui River. The WNC Forest Park occupies 1.4 hectares of land and the trees can serve as wind breaks to ameliorate dust and haze issues. In addition, the trees selected are native Taiwan trees that are drought resistant and wind proofing. The WNC Forest Park will contribute to carbon fixation and habitat renewal while being a protector of bio-diversity as well as a spot for local residents to enjoy nature.
